Getting Out in October

An Evening Out

After taking a week off from Youth Revolution because of a national holiday, we got together once again to meet this past Friday evening.  We continued our study and discussion of the book of Romans by moving on to chapter 2 and talking about Paul's defense of the gospel against the possible arguments of people who consider themselves to be the moral judges of society and those who are self-confident in their "religion".  We discussed how people who consider themselves to be Christians and others who don't could fall into these types of false confidences.
After our study we traveled to the university in Poruba to check out the open house activities and displays in science and technology.  We spent about an hour there looking at different things and then left to get something to eat together.  We ended the evening by having some McDonald's together and chatting about different things for an hour and a half or so.  The evening went really well overall.  Marki and Táňa joined our regular meeting for the first time this year.  Míla really enjoyed the open house activities and displays at the university.  And everyone else enjoyed eating some McDonald's and chatting.
Please continue to pray for this group, that we would not only grow in our knowledge and love of God, but that it would change our hearts and lead us to spread that knowledge and love not only to each other, but to other people with whom we come in contact.

Here are a few pictures from the evening

Beginning School Visits

After several weeks of back and forth communication and scheduling, I finally made my first school visits of the year during the last week in September.  It was really nice to get back into the school and meet with classes that I had visited last year as well as meet a couple of new classes.  I also had the chance to meet a couple of new teachers at the school, one of which is the wife of Tomáš, whose classes I have been visiting over the last four years at another school.  Please pray that these visits would continue to open doors to new and growing relationships and that God would use it for His Kingdom.
