Kuba's 15th
On December 1, 2002, the world was changed forever when little Kubík came into the world. Never again would a question go unanswered or a difference of opinion be left without an argument. All joking aside, it was great to surprise Kuba with a little birthday celebration at Youth Revolution a little more than two weeks ago. Fifteen is a pretty important birthday here, because 15 is the age when you are no longer considered a child. After the Bible lesson we played a few games, enjoyed some snacks (including a cake) and listened to music (including some of Kuba's favorite Justin Bieber songs). Klára N., who is now in the same class as Kuba in school helped me with ordering and picking up the cake. Below are a few pictures from the evening. Please pray for Kuba as he continues to grow and mature. Pray that he would continue to grow in knowledge and love for his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Growing in community through Christ
Since our youth weekend at the end of November, we have seen decent turnouts on Friday evenings for our regular youth meetings. One of the extra nice things has been that Barča has once again begun attending our group regularly. Nikča, who attended a few times previously has also begun attending more regularly as well. One of the nicest things however has been the sense of community that we have seen within the group. People seem to be more comfortable with one another and it looks more like one group instead of two different groups coming together. Community has also been the topic of discussion for 2 out of the last 3 weeks. A little more than two weeks ago we spoke about several different ways that we can grow in our relationship with God through being connected with a church community. This past Friday evening we continued our discussion on the topic of community, but looked at it from a bit of a different angle. We spoke about the fact that the church is full of broken and imperfect people and the reality of hurting or being hurt by brothers and sisters in Christ. We spoke about how God is able to use even these situations to grow us in grace and love so that we can grow to be more like Christ. We spent quite a bit of time looking at 1 Corinthians and it was great to see the teens actively searching through the Scriptures and talking about the different passages. Pray that the group would continue to grow together and that we would each point one another to Christ. Below are a few pictures of another one of our favorite games, "I have to pee."
I truly loved birthday celebrations and those cakes are yum! You did such a great job sharing this fun post. At a local rooftop event venue Atlanta my sister also hosted a grand party for our mom’s birthday. That bash was also every enjoyable. My sis is so darn creative when it comes to parties.
