Starting Czech Classes
I have been working on teaching myself some Czech from my apartment with the use of a book that I bought. I think that if I was trying to learn any other language except for maybe one of the Asian languages I would be ok but Czech is incredibly difficult. So I have begun taking classes at one of the local universities. This opportunity opened up for me through one of the Elders of the church here who is also a professor at this university. I am taking the class with some foreign students from around the world. The professor is very nice and is allowing me to take two classes simultaneously. The second of the two is pretty difficult because it is built on the first class but it should help to accelerate the language learning process. This is a big addition to my weekly schedule with several hours of classes each week, travel time, and studying on my own so pray that I will be able to manage my time well as I seek to continue to do all of the things I am asked to do ministry wise.
The 1st Annual Progressive Dinner
On Friday night we had our first Progressive Dinner at Youth Revolution. It was a whole different animal than it is planning it for CEFC because we did it without the use of cars and instead walked from place to place or took the bus. This required perfect timing and we did not have it so groups got to places later than they should at times and Google Maps lied to me about where one of the homes was. It was definitely an adventure but the Lord worked things out. We had five families help with the evening and a couple more that offered but things just didn't work out. We had 13 teens participate in the evening and it was a blast. Some people did not let me know until the night before that they were coming so I was thankful for the flexibility of the hosts to handle a few more people. I was really excited because Tereza and Karin were able to make it and we haven't seen them for several months as Tereza has been busy and Karin has been sick. Pray that activities like this one would really help to encourage more and more teens to invite their friends to these events and regular evenings. Here are some pictures from the evening.

Teen English Conversation
Yesterday was the second English conversation time for teens. It has been a bit slow in going with one person the first week and two yesterday. Pray that more teens would want to attend this time and that the Lord would use it to build His Kingdom.
Sermon Sunday
Pray for me this week as I will be preaching again this Sunday. Pray that it will be helpful to the congregation and myself as I study. Pray for wisdom and clarity of thought as the week is very full of things to do and I had a difficult time choosing a passage to speak on. I have the passage chosen and am about 3/4 of the way through but I really want it to be pulled together well and be applicable in the lives of each person there on Sunday. And most importantly, pray that the Holy Spirit would be present in power in Poruba on Sunday afternoon.
Thank you all for your continued prayer as we serve Our King together.
