Speaking on Faith and Having Some Fun with Skits
This past Friday night we had a great turnout in the youth group. We had almost 20 teens come out to spend some time together. There have been several things that I have seen that have really encouraged me. First, I have been very encouraged to see a pretty consistent group of about 10 teens attend each week. Some of them have to travel between 45 minutes to an hour and half to attend yet they do it each week. What a blessing! Secondly, we have also seen more teens become involved. Thirdly, people are beginning to get to know one another much better. Most of the teens have one or two close friends that it would be easy for them to just spend time with them and talk to them but instead people are getting more and more comfortable with everyone in the group. Next, God has been so gracious in giving me the ability to come up with different things to talk about each week and condense these talks into about 10-12 minutes. This is not an easy task when very few of the teens have much experience or knowledge of the Bible so there often needs to be some explanation or background given in each talk. God has also given me the ability to keep things interesting and relevant for the teens. Lastly, I have been encouraged by several of the teens as they explain that youth group is the thing that they look forward to most all week long.
Pray that the group would continue to grow not only in size but together as a group. Building friendships that will reach outside the time at Youth Revolution. Pray for some upcoming activities that the group would like to do. We would like to have a laser tag and bowling night in the next few weeks. This would be a great opportunity for the teens to invite friends to come and have some fun. There is an added difficulty to this however as it is not as easy as just loading the group into cars and driving there. We will have to use the bus system to get there and back keeping in mind that some kids need to take train and bus rides home that night to other towns and villages. Pray also for our coordination with some of the other youth groups in the area. We will be hosting an evening in November for the groups to come together and do some activities. This has some real potential to not only grow unity between the churches but expand the friend groups for many of these young believers. Lastly, please pray for the group as we seek to plan our first weekend retreat during the month of December. Right now we have very few details but this could be another opportunity to not only grow together as a group but also to invite some friends to attend.

Getting to know each other a little better. We are really growing as a group.
English Lessons and Conversation
This Thursday the church will begin a new ministry of not only teaching English to children but also giving their parents the opportunity to grow in their English speaking skill by being involved in a weekly conversation group. We need your prayers as this comes together. Pray that people would attend and that it will be something that they want to come back for week after week. This has the potential to not only serve the community but also to hopefully open up doors to speak with people about the gospel. We begin Thursday afternoon from 4:00-6:00.
Církev bratrská in the center of Ostrava
On Sunday morning, I got the opportunity to attend the Církev bratská church in the center of Ostrava. This is the sister church of the Poruba church. They have a bit larger congregation and have been established for a longer period of time. Many of the other missionaries in Ostrava attend the church so I got the chance to meet several missionaries contacted with Young Life and other organizations focused on directing teens to Christ. I was invited by the family of one of the teens that attends YR on Friday nights. They had me over for lunch and we get the opportunity to know each other a little better. After lunch I made it to the church in Poruba. Double Church!
Awesome stuff, Nate. We'll be praying.
